A museum for what you collect
Collectors Catalogues is a place to record what you own with the care of a real museum — not a phone album full of photographs nobody can search.
What it does
Every piece gets photographs, measurements, materials, condition, an honest confidence level, and a provenance chain that is append-only — you can add to the story of an object, but you cannot quietly rewrite it. Each item carries its own permanent identification number.
Arrange your collection into museums of your own. Put an object on a turntable and let people spin it. Ask the identification board when you are stuck. Sketch a find in the field sketchbook. Tick off the museums and landmarks you visit.
Where things were found stays yours
Your findspots are exact and visible only to you. Everyone else sees a deliberately blurred region with a count — never your pin, never your permission, never your patch. Photographs of a findspot are yours alone, and location data is stripped from every uploaded picture on the server, because a photograph taken in a field carries the field's coordinates inside it whether you meant it to or not.
There is no marketplace
Nothing is for sale here and nothing ever will be. No object is priced, no route runs from "found it" to "sold it", and no advertising appears anywhere. This is a tool for recording history honestly, and for private collections that end up better documented than they would otherwise have been.
What it costs
The core app is free: up to 100 items, your own museums, and every community feature. A membership will later add extras for prolific collectors, but cataloguing, provenance, and exporting your own records stay free for everyone.
