Delete your Collectors Catalogues account

Last updated 28 August 2026

You can delete your account yourself, from inside the app, at any time — no need to ask us first.

In the app

Open your Profile, scroll to “Delete my account”, and follow the steps. You’ll confirm your password, then choose what happens to your catalogue: either your entries stay on the public register credited to “a former collector”, or your museums, items, photographs, posts, and comments are removed outright.

What is erased

Whichever you choose, your email address, profile details, private messages, private valuations, exact findspot coordinates, and findspot photographs are permanently erased, and the account can never be signed into again. A small amount of anonymised register history survives so other collectors’ records stay trustworthy — the details are in the Privacy Policy.

Deleting some of your data, without closing your account

You do not have to choose between keeping everything and losing everything. From inside the app you can permanently delete any individual record you have added: an object, a whole museum, a field sketch, a provenance document, an examination photograph, or a turntable sequence. Open the item and use its delete option. Objects go to the Recycle bin first, where you can restore them or remove them for good.

Deleting an object removes its photographs, measurements, provenance entries and findspot together with it. Your account, and everything you have not deleted, is untouched.

How long it takes

Deletion happens immediately, whether you remove a single item or your whole account: the moment you confirm, that data is gone from the live service. We also keep nightly backup copies of the database and uploaded files for 14 days, as protection against an accident or a technical fault, so deleted data ages out of those backups within 14 days and is not restored to the live service in the meantime.

If you can’t sign in

Email collectorscatalogues@gmail.com from the address on the account and we’ll do it for you.
