Most coin apps want to price your collection. This one wants to record it — the way a museum numismatist would.

Attribution without pretending

A worn denarius is not always attributable, and an honest record says so. Every identification in Collectors Catalogues carries a confidence level — certain, probable, uncertain — and a "why I think so" note for the reasoning: the legend fragment you can make out, the portrait style, the weight. When a better identification arrives, you add it to the record rather than silently overwriting the old one.

Built for objects with two faces

Photograph obverse and reverse, record diameter, weight and die axis, and give the coin a permanent identification number in your own register. Group coins into museums of your own — a tray of Severan silver, a box of milled halfpennies — and put the best one on a turntable for anyone you choose to share it with.
