Locality privacy, built in
Record the exact site with a pin only you can see; everyone else sees a deliberately blurred region. Location data is stripped from every uploaded photograph on the server, because a field photo carries its coordinates inside it whether you meant to share them or not. A productive site stays yours.
Specimen records, not just photos
Dimensions, weight, matrix, condition, formation if you know it — and an honest confidence level when you do not. "Probably Devonian, uncertain species" is a respectable label; a confident wrong one is not. When someone on the identification board knows better, the record grows.
Your cabinet, on a turntable
Put a favourite specimen on a spin viewer, arrange your collection into museums of your own, and share them or keep the whole thing private. Nothing is priced, nothing is for sale, and no advertising appears anywhere.
