Provenance is the point
Named medals, attributed badges, a helmet with a unit stamp — militaria is the field where the paper trail matters most. Every object here carries an append-only provenance chain: who it came from, what the dealer said, what the research turned up later. You can add to the story forever; nothing lets you quietly rewrite it.
Attribution without invention
Half the badges in any collection are "probably" something. Record the honest version: the confidence level, the reasoning, the reference you checked. When the identification board or a better book settles it, the record grows instead of being overwritten.
A cabinet, not a stall
No prices, no listings, no advertising — nothing here is for sale and nothing ever will be. Arrange your pieces into museums of your own, share them with fellow collectors or a regiment's descendants, and keep the record straight for whoever inherits it.
